Shonen Club Cuts Episode 2012/04/04.

All videos are 1024 x 576 res., Avi format, all on Mediafire. Credit for FS to shokura@lj. Continuation of the previous post, so let'ts go on right away ( You can find the opening performance of "Sakura Sake" and "School Kakumei" by Johnny's Juniors and Hey!Say!JUMP here) :

Sexy Zone presenting a medley of all the tracks of their upcoming single. Quite an uncommon strategy to present a new single that way instead of performing just the leadtrack (wich they did on Music Japan and the Ichiban Song Show instead). But I liked that. The expert audience is the one of Shonen Club and not the one of the other two shows mentioned, so it makes sense to do something special for them/us instead of giving them/us just the regular thing.
The medley starts with "Yuuki 100%" followed by the catchy "Kaze wo kitte", the leadtrack "Lady Diamond" and the energetic and uplifting "High!! High!! People" with nice harmony vocal parts by Matsushima Sou. The medley closes with "Sexy Zone". Great!

Since I didn't liked "Lady Diamond" at the beginning I initially only preordered one of the limited editions of the new single (the one with the "Making of" DVD), but then I heared that Sou had a large part in the "Yuuki 100%" version, so I needed the regular version, too. And now that I've heared "Lady Diamond" several times I like it as well (it has almost an Abbaesque feeling to it) and have seen the full PV I'm going to get the third version too. Next time I will preorder just everything at once without thinking too much, I guess...(Shut up, bank account!)

Talk part with Arioka Daiki, Yamada Ryosuke, Chinen Yuri and Nakajima Yuto. Nothing really spectacular going on, but here it is anyways:

Kimi wo Omou Toki

TOKIOs "Kimi wo Omou Toki" performed by Kyomoto Taiga with Question? and TOY as backdancers. Altough I don't have very deep emotional ties to Taiga nor to this particular song, it almost moved me to tears. That's how good he performed this one. Only comlpainment: It was way too short. Like so often when Question? are involved. I wonder if they have a clause in their contract that forbids them to play full songs when performing on Shonen Club..

Gekkan Ki ni Naru J (formerly known as Junior YouBin)

"Gekkan Ki ni Naru J" presented by Kawai Fumito and Totsuka Shota. The requested Junior is Kishi Yuta. Kishi is the most energetic Junior of all when it comes to dancing, but if it is about talking he is always friendly but mostly reserved and avoids the spotlight, even on JJL. At least that's my impression of him. So it was really nice to see him in the center of attention here. I really didn't expected something like the monomane of Fumito from him. What I really liked about Kishi in the past besides his great berserk dancing style are his warm and friendly smile and the sparkle he has sometimes in his eyes (like the one at the very end of the clip). Now I have to add the personal remark that I think he is becoming really handsome in the progress of growing up.

Super Delicate

"Super Delicate" by Hey!Say!JUMP. The performance starts with Yuto and Yamada performing as a duet, the rest of JUMP joins in later. At first I found that a bit irritating, but in fact it works quite well! No need to speak about the song itself , it is still great! If there is anything to complain, than it's the new hairstyle of Yuto, but that's a very minor complaint.

Talk part with Daiki and Okamaoto Keito with Nakajima Kento and Kikuchi Fuma prior their performance of "GAME".

"GAME" by Nakajima Kento and Kikuchi Fuma. I 've said it before and I'll say it again: Kento and Fuma are working perfectley as duo (Wich doesn't mean at all they didn't worked wit B.I. Shadow /work with Sexy Zone!) !! I'm not totally sure, but I think "GAME" is a new and original song for them, at least I don't think I've heared it before, altough it has a Tackey & Tsubasa feel. But that's maybe just because of the great performance of Fuma and Kento. Highlight!

Jr. Colosseum

Junior Nekketsu Battle (to me still: the Colosseum) is Dancing Isutori Game (Musical chairs). Presented by Daiki, Yaotome Hikaru, Yamada and Yuto. Participants : Sanada Yuma, Nozawa Yuki, Kyomoto Taiga, Kouchi Yugo, Matsumura Hokuto, Yasui Kentaro, Casey Anderson, Kawashima Noeru, Takada Sho, Morohoshi Shoki, Tanaka Juri and my personal episode-winner Kishi Yuta. Morita Myuto is a helper, but you won't see much of him in this. But you will see a highly entertaining Colosseum, maybe the most entertaining "Dancing Isutori Game" I've ever seen on Shonen Club. In case you haven't seen it yet, I don't write anything more to avoid spoilers and just give you the link:

Za ABC ~5 Stars~

A.B.C-Z performing the leadtrack of their DVD-single in front of a single camera starting in the lobby of NHK-Hall and then dancing their way through the corridors until they reach the stage. On their way they meet Chinen, Yabu Kota, Inoo Kei and Takaki Yuya who are all doing their best to participate. Extraordinary kind of performance, but to be true it was a bit too much deliberately funny, the smiles were to bright and the mood to high to believe some of the performers were really having fun doing this. Maybe they did nevertheless.

Jr. ni Q

Presented by Yamada and Hikaru. On the board, talking about their senpais: Jesse Lewis, Sanada Yuma, Tamamoto Fumito (It seemed Hikaru instantly felt in love with him. They danced together during "School Kakumei" in the Intro too, by the way) and Hanawa Daiki.

She! Her! Her!

The recent Hit song "She! Her! Her!" by Kis-my-Ft2. I complained earlier that their first two singles were to similiar (but it was more a remark than a complaint, since I liked both of them) and that the PVs were quite boring. Well, this song is diffrent from the two previous ones for sure, altough all the soundtrademarks are still there. Very well done. And the PV of "She! Her! Her! is everything but boring...for a JE-PV ist's even kind of edgy and on the same time ridiculous in an almost surreal way. This performance is not surreal at all, it's just good.

After the ending talk (included in file) Hey!Say!JUMP performs "Chance to change" with every Junior aviable in the back and front. So there is a lot to watch on the stage. Inoue Mizuki disapproves about Daiki to touch his hair and Kuramoto Kaoru makes a puzzled impression about being same size as the senpai dancing next to him. And thats just two little details. Very nice ending of a (much) more than nice episode !!

In other news ( wich means : Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou) Miyata Toshiya has been added to the cast as well as Uchi Hiroki! Miyata will act as a teacher, the role of Uchi wasn't described further. It seems they are going all in on this drama. But the international dramafans doesn't seem to be very impressed, there isn't even an entry for this at d-addicts yet.
Wich doesn't lessens my anticipation at all.

*Click for full view*

It has also been reported that the titlesong of the drama will be done by Kis-my-Ft2 and be called "Shake it up". As much as I like them, I was still silentley hoping that the main cast of the drama would have done the theme song.

No need for cuts, but I still came back for your comments ^^

I get what you mean by "Abbaesque", it's because of that damn/catchy piano intro.
Somehow I knew you'd end up buying all three versions lol The making of this time has a lot more goofing off in it and a helpless Kishi Yuta being stripped topless by Sexy Zone XD I think Kishi's charm (aside from his dancing) are those adorable puppy eyes of his, but I can imagine him not being very popular with girls though. On Jr Land debates, didn't he say he wanted to be reborn as a boy because he wanted to be confessed to by a girl? The poor thing.

Nekketsu Battle was just all kinds of chaos. Kouchi was my personal highlight during that game. But everyone was adorable, and dancing janken? They should make that into a whole segment for next month ^^

Curious, what does TAFKAH stand for? Tafkah sounds like a place in Egypt.

Wich makes me really glad :)

Kishi: Yes, now that you mention it he really has puppy eyes. Maybe that's why I feeled like giving him a hug more than once during this episode^^. I also think he isn't really the type of guy who is popular with girls though. The combination of being kind of timid and polite most of the time and being totally fired up on a special occasion (in his case dancing) normally doesn't make a boy too interesting for most girls (wich is of course just a guess, because..well..^^). But I'm pretty sure he hasn't to wait for his rebirth to be confessed to by a girl.

I liked almost everything about the Colosseum: The line-up, the chaos, the invention of dancing janken...and of course Yugo was my personal highlight, too. But that's not really a big surprise, is it?

TAFKAH was just a cheap pun on TAFKAP (TAFKAP = The Artist Formerly Known As Prince/ TAFKAH = The Artist Formerly Known As HipHopJump).

I love Kimi wo Omou Toki and Taiga, so I'll be glad to have that clip (and much more!)~
yabu_takeshiyabu_takeshi on April 10th, 2012 09:59 pm (UTC)
I just wished they allowed him to perform the whole song. But since he did that good, maybe we will see a full Solo by Taiga on Shonen Club soon!

100% agree with you~~~ i love his new hair, and his smile resemles Daiki in a way i don't know LoL XDDD
i'm happy that the juniors have their own show,, thanks God ^^

and Yuto's hair?? it makes him looks younger,, the same hairstyle with his brother Raiya LoL XDD
yabu_takeshiyabu_takeshi on April 10th, 2012 10:03 pm (UTC)
You're right, Kishis smile is kind of similar to Daikis (but much more resevered).
And you're also right of Yuto looking very much like his younger brother with this hairstyle (Altough I haven't seen his brother for quite a while now). Anyway, I just think longer hair suits Yuto much better.

Thank you for the cuts of this great episode.

I'm not sold on Taiga's version of "Kimi wo Omou Toki," but, then again, I'm hard to win over with ballads. Which is all he seems to sing sometimes (¬、¬)... Still, I'll never complain about getting to watch Myuto.

Loved the talk with Daiki, Keito, Nakaken, and Fuma, just because the chemistry was so good between them. Also, the answer Fuma gave when he was asked if he was used to being in Sexy Zone, and what parts of it were difficult (he basically said that the hardest thing is dealing with the age gap, having to wait for the younger boys to stop messing around and teaching them the choreography) felt kind of vindicating for me.

"GAME" was excellent; I demand a studio version (´∀`). Nakaken and Fuma's dancing styles/waves of moving are so distinct yet compatible, it's always a joy to watch them together.

Lately, I've been growing to like Kisumai and ABC-Z more. Mostly it's thanks to Fujigaya and Hasshi. But either way, I had a lot of fun watching their performances.

Maybe the juniors from "Bakaleya" will get to sing an insert song or something. I'm not ready to give up hope (`・ω・´)ゞ.

yabu_takeshiyabu_takeshi on April 10th, 2012 10:15 pm (UTC)
I'm not that much into ballads, too. That's why I was so surprised why I liked it that much..^^

A studio version of "GAME" would be nice. Would make a perfect track on the bonus CD of the first Sexy Zone Album, wich I hope we haven't wait for as long as we had to for JUMP # 1...

I would be okay with an insert song, too. Just anything..But on the other hand I'm already very satisfied about the drama being produced at all with this cast. At the time it was announced first I didn't really saw something like that coming.

I'm looking forward to Bakaleya very much, too! I hope it will be possible to watch it despite of the cheap reputation of it among the international drama fans. But I'm pretty positive about it.
